Reuse what you already learned

Command Library and Manifests

A known-good command can become a reusable object without hiding the ordinary command line underneath.

Command templates

Promote a successful journal entry, identify editable parameters, set defaults, add notes, assign a hotkey, or expose it in a command palette.

Parameter editor

Edit the sixth argument as a field instead of cursoring through a multi-line command. Choose Insert to return the generated command to the prompt or Run to execute it.

Command manifests

An optional declarative manifest can describe subcommands, arguments, choices, types, conflicts, exit-code meanings, and warnings.

git?     az?     ffmpeg?

If a manifest exists, a shell could interpret a trailing question mark as “help me construct this command” and open a keyboard or mouse-friendly TUI.
